Paul’s Tarot Book Club

Paul’s Tarot Book Club are weekly Zoom sessions focussing on Aleister Crowley’s Book of Thoth with a different topic every Wednesday. Currently we are working through the Major Arcana starting with the Fool.

Paul will guide you through each card, showing how Aleister Crowley structured this deck. We will also explore Crowley’s more obscure comments and show how to read his cryptic references to his other writings.

Solve et Coagula

Aleister Crowley designed and structured The Book of Thoth to challenge the student – there are no straight lines! Crowley uses the alchemical dictum of solve et coagula throughout the text. You have to continually take apart and put back together, each time expanding your knowledge and insight.

This journey is never-ending, and we don’t always find the answers, but we have some fun and we all learn together.
